We are proud to present the first audioguide to Ales Stenar. All you need is your phone and a pair of headphones. From there, we take you on a walk through 10,000 years of history among the hills of Kåseberga.

As you walk, the landscape begins to wake. We tell the story of the Ice Age reindeer hunters and the great natural disaster that sank Doggerland beneath the sea. We guide you through the power struggles of the Iron Age, and explore how people once read the sun, the stars and the symbolism of ships. Everything is grounded in modern archaeology – but we also draw on astronomy and ancient myth to give a fuller picture.

The tour starts at the car park in Kåseberga, and the audioguide responds to where you walk. And we don’t stop at sound.

Lift your phone and look at the landscape through the screen. Like a window into the past, history merges with the present. You can see how the ancient stone chamber grave once looked, or watch people strain to drag the massive stone blocks up the slope.
